Brainwashing

Brainwashing is a process of changing the beliefs and values of a person. It is done by using different techniques like:

  • propaganda

  •  persuasion

  •  coercion.

The term brainwashing was first used in the 1950s to describe how American prisoners were indoctrinated into communism while they were held captive in North Korea during the Korean War.

Subjugation and brainwashing are two distinct concepts, however, they can be related to each other in certain circumstances. Subjugation refers to the act of bringing someone or a group of people under control or domination, while brainwashing refers to the process of indoctrinating someone with a set of beliefs or ideas through repetitive and manipulative techniques.

The correlation between subjugation and brainwashing can be seen in situations where a dominant group seeks to maintain control over a subjugated group by indoctrinating them with a particular set of beliefs or ideas that serve the interests of the dominant group. This can be achieved through various means such as propaganda, censorship, and the suppression of dissenting voices.

For example, during the Nazi regime in Germany, the government used propaganda to brainwash the German population into believing in the superiority of the Aryan race and the need for expansionism. This allowed the government to maintain control over the population and pursue its aggressive policies without opposition.

Another example is seen in North Korea, where the government uses a combination of propaganda, censorship, and repression to maintain control over its citizens. The government controls all forms of media and restricts access to outside information, which allows it to manipulate public opinion and maintain its grip on power.

In both cases, subjugation and brainwashing work together to maintain control over a population. The dominant group uses brainwashing techniques to manipulate the beliefs and opinions of the subjugated group, which in turn helps to maintain their control over them.

Submission and brainwashing are related concepts, but they are not the same thing.

Submission refers to the act of yielding to authority or complying with rules or directives, while brainwashing refers to a process of psychological manipulation that aims to change a person's:

  • attitudes

  • behaviors

  •  beliefs

In some cases, submission can be a result of brainwashing. For example, a person who has been subjected to intense psychological pressure or indoctrination may feel compelled to submit to the demands of their captors or manipulators. However, submission can also be a voluntary choice made by individuals who recognize the legitimacy and authority of those in power.
